Cook top light sockets are have corroded away and no longer hold light bulbs in place and must be replaced. How do I access and replace the sockets?

Ge makes a parts diagram available for each appliance they produce. Here is the light bulb socket for your microwave: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-hol… I have ordered from appliance part pros before. They have pretty good chat support and it is very convenient that they link to the parts diagrams in their replacement part pages. You will see the parts diagram in the 3rd image and the replacement part is #34 in the image. you can check out the rest of the parts available for your microwave here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search… If your light bulb sockets are still intact and the inside terminals are just a little corroded, I would suggest unplugging your microwave and taking some scotch-brite scouring pads and just cleaning up the terminals. It should solve your problem. Good luck!
