I opened an iPhone 7 to check for water after getting it wet. No water. Phone accidentally turned on while opening it (no big deal). Turned it off, closed it up and then phone went into Boot Loop when I tried turning it back on. (Had no idea what that was so researched it). Found something on this site that said try disconnecting front camera flex cable. That worked. So I ordered a new flex cable. I was VERY gentle in replacing it with the new one. Problem is STILL there with new flex. How do I fix this thing? Someone mentioned the flex cable that runs between the screen pieces? How do I narrow down what the exact issue is? The Home button gets deactivated when the Front Camera flex is disconnected also. I want my front camera and Touch ID back!! I don’t want to waste money fixing things that aren’t broke. I am buying an iPhone parts phone later today. TIA !!-caper
Issue: boot loop Troubleshooting done: Disconnected front facing camera flex. Phone booted with no home button and TouchID disabled. Reconnected front camera flex and disconnected home button. Phone booted without home button or TouchID. Replaced front camera assembly. Same issue was present. Replaced screen and swapped old home button and front camera. ISSUE RESOLVED
@rattice reattach the home button to see if it bootloops again if it does then you need a new screen
