I accidentally broke the little black clasp that was holding the microphone ribbon cable in place on the motherboard. What would be the simplest way to reconnect it securely?
I’m sorry to say that there isn’t a good way that I know of to connect this cable securely without the clasp on the connector. I’ve seen all kids of things tried for this, glue, silicone, tape, etc. and nothing worked well. If it isn’t broken you can put it back in…it’s no easy but it is possible. You would need some type of magnifier (jewlers loupe, microscope, monacle, etc.) to see what you are doing, some fine tip tweezers and a steady hand. I hope this helps!
