Hello. I am new to fixing iPhones. Recently became interested and now am really into it. My knowledge/ experience so far is that I know how to at least replace the screen and battery of an iPhone 6. I recently found a cheap iPhone 7 (128 GB for $35), however, here is the catch: Screen is shattered, housing is bent, and doesn’t turn on. I want to see if I can restore it (new housing, screen, parts etc.), however, because i have yet to turn it on, I don’t know if there is anything wrong with it internally (I.e Activation/ iCloud Lock). With that background info, how would I go about doing this process? I don’t want to spend all the money on parts and then find out after fixing it that it can’t even be used. Would greatly appreciate your time and opinion on this. Many thanks!
If it has the original sim tray you can check the IMEI which is engraved into it. There are certain websites that will tell you if find my phone is on. If it is not the original sim tray you will have to get the phone to boot.
