After 6 months of trying to figure out the problem I finally caught the icemaker in the act! It turned and dumped partial pieces of ice cubes. When it turned back and filled I reached into the tray and felt partial pieces of ice cubes thereby causing the ice tray to overfill and drip down into the bucket freezing the collected ice and making a solid block. Any ideas as to how to demineralize the ice tray so all of the cubes drop? It’s been so frustrating!

You will need to all the whole thing out and defrost it first. Then use 1/2 cup of hot water mixed with 1/2 cup white vinegar. Pour it in and let sit for an hour. Then use an old toothbrush to get to any remaining deposits.
