Chosen Solution

Hi I would like to know how I could completely delete chrome os on this chromebook and replace it with windows? Anything will help

So depending on the device that you have you may need to remove the Write Protect Screw. From there you need to enable developer mode on your device by pressing the “esc”, “refresh” and “power” keys. From there you can follow the onscreen prompts to enable developer mode. After developer mode is enabled you’ll need to use CROSH commands to modify your devices BIOS settings. Their’s actually a very good guide that you can find here, but I recommend looking up the specific steps for doing such for your specific Chrome Device.

Since this computer has an ARM-based CPU, you cannot Install regular Windows on it. I would recommend seeing what apps you can get through the linux experience built directly into Chrome OS. Some applications made for Linux will not work with an ARM CPU. You may be able to use virtualization to emulate Windows, but considering the specifications of your computer, I imagine that would be a poor experience. If you want to run Windows, it would probably be a better idea to get a Windows or Mac laptop.

Question: How to do this Answer: That wouldn’t be possible on a Chrome computer! Windows and Chrome OS are two unrelated operating systems. So that means you would not be able to put Windows OS on your computer. Solution: Just buy a Windows computer to be able to use Windows OS.
