i bought some AirPods at a pawn shop but I think they might be stolen anyway is there a way i can check if they are connected to find my iPhone if so how can i check

Not with AirPods 2 AirPods Pro, Max or AirPods 3 can be put into Lost Mode similarly to an iPhone, where they will notify anyone who finds them they are Lost. But AirPods 2 do not have this ability. I suspect this is in part due them lacking the U1 chip used for Ultra Wideband.
