Can you please advise how to make Uniden Dect 6.0 answering machine beep when there are new messages.
Hi @ Sharon Linke, This is from p.20 of the operating manual (click on “view operating manual” link on the page). Go to Menu > Answering Setup > Message Alert. “Have the system beep every 15 seconds when you have a new message; the beeping stops when you listen to all your new messages. (To mute the alert without listening to your messages, press any key on the base)”.

Hi @ desantis You may be out of luck. It appears that the system is not designed to “beep” when a new message has been stored in the answer machine. It only gives a visual display on the base station and in the handset display. There are no settings shown in the manual to turn on/off an audible indication when a new message has been stored in the answer machine According to the user manual on p.52 in the section entitled Listening to messages: Using the base unit When new messages have been recorded, the message indicator on the base unit flashes. (see image below).
