i have remote desktop and i thought the way to uninstall is just take from apps and put in trash. this is not the case cuz software update keeps wanting to update it. that means its still there. how do i uninstall apps 100%? now that i think about it i probably have 30 apps worth of junk taking up space and i want it gone. pleeeease help!!!!
if they are not apple applications i find the application called appzapper http://www.appzapper.com/ its a small fee but very handy over time. it finds all related files, apps and folders (that are stored in all parts of the computer) to the application that you drag into appzapper and it will delete them too
Another really great way to free up space it to use a program called Monolingual. It removes other languages, and binaries (For other types of processors) from programs on your computer that you select. One pass on a computer with a decent amount of software on it will free up a few gigabytes.
It sounds like you are trying to throw away Apple installed applications. I wouldn’t do that till I knew my way around my Mac and what it can do. You should have plenty of free hard drive space on your computer. One movie can take up a lot more space than most of those apps and you may need the apps later on, they were put there for a reason. In other words, don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
