I am operating a phone repair and lcd refurbishing center. I currently replace backlights, polarizers, and top glass on the displays but sometimes i am dealing with a fully functioning lcd that has the flex cables removed. How do I reattach the flex cables to the lcd and what kind of equipment is used? It would be a shame to get rid of a good lcd just because of the flex cable. Right now this question is centered around the iPhone 6 but any answers will be helpful.
$4200+ or 148 genuine iphone 6 lcd’s
Replacing the flex cable is 100% possible but not worth it unless you can do enough to cover the machine expense. It might be better to contact a place that buys screens in this condition.
The cable is clearly cut in half, you have to remove the stud on the LCD first The equipment in question is called a pulse pressing machine, however I’m not sure of the success rate.
