Does anyone know how to repair or replace the squeezy bulb primer on my petrol McCulloch Gladiator 550 hedge trimmer? It has stopped working. If I squeeze and release it, petrol does not flow into the bulb, or at least, not nearly as fast as it used to. Does anyone know how it works? The bulb has two black tubes coming out of it. I suppose one goes to the petrol tank and the other goes to the carburetor. i think this tube is different from the petrol feed tube, because (at least at the tank end) this is clear plastic. I imagine that the arrangement is similar to that used on other McCulloch devices powered by small two stroke engines (chain saws, strimmers etc.). I suppose one tube must be blocked, or trapped, or something, but how does one get access to it to see what’s wrong? Thanks - Rowan
Most of the time you just remove four small screws that are located next to the primer bulb, then pull the primer bulb out of the metal retainer and reinstall your new one in reverse order. Heres a video on doing the fuel lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfgkrcA6…
