Dear Ifixit or others, I was trying to lock the fpc cable (for lif/zif ssd) to the fpc connector. But I accidentaly broke the pins in the connector. See attachments. I ordered a fpc connector(see last picture) but I don’t if this is the right one.

Update (04/22/2017) On the left it says 40 and on the right 1A. Does anyone know what type of connector this is and where to get it?

Actually, there is a huge variety of ZIF connectors and the differences are subtle but important. Ideally, if the original one has a visible brand name, then start your research there. These connectors can come with top side, bottom side and both side connection contacts. Some require cutouts on the flex for proper griping and they usually have different specs for how deep the flex will go inside. This is important if the connector pattern on the flex has alternating teardrop shapes. The edge pads may have special patterns as well. You also want to match the lock mechanism, such as fliplock (enters where the lock mechanism is) or backlock (the lock mechanism is opposite the entry slot). Yours should be a backlock but the picture you show of potential replacements appear to be fliplocks. So you need to look at the spec sheets and measure what you already have to find the best match. Order more than one because they are easy to damage during the soldering process.

It says 1A 40. Which connector can someone recommend me?
