Hello, I recently replaced the keyboard in my Macbook A1466. While pulling the keyboard ribbon cable from the ribbon cable connector, which is stuck behind the trackpad, two pins broke. When I now plug in the new keyboard, some buttons (ctrl, alt) don’t work. Is it possible to change the ribbon connector? And where can I get it from? Has this kind of ribbon connector a special name? There are screws, so I suppose it is meant to be exchanged. Thank you very much, for any help. Nadine
This is a board level job. If you are asking how to do it, it’s not for you, especially for plastic parts that are super easy to warp. Just find a pro to do this for you.
