Chosen Solution
I recently bought a new Nintendo 2ds and I charged it without a convertor. I soon realized that the adapter cannot be used without a convertor outside America. My adapter was completely fried as a result. But the console looked fine I turned it on and I saw a red light blinking which indicated that the console had very low battery. That being said I want to know whether my console suffered any internal damage in the ordeal
What I would suggest is buying a 3DS AC adapter for your region, fully charge your system, and see if you notice anything weird about the battery life.
