One of the activators has been forced while it was stuck. This resulted in the perforation of the top of the small plastic cylinder which holds a spring. As a result the lach is loose and does not play its role of actionating the switch. I need to buy the broken parts. Where can I find it ?
I dis-assembled as per insstruction, and found one of the two activators to be broken. Ordering and receiving can take some time, so in the interim, I cut the red and black wires and marred them together. The activators are wired in series so that works well until I get another.

Doesn’t look like you can buy replacement contact switches easily and online - I think wiring the switches in series will prolong the life of the blender without compromising safety.
