I replaced my iPhone 7 Plus lcd and now the home button doesn’t work but the Touch ID works I reused the original home button. …. I replaced it with an aftermarket and the same result … I put the an oem scene back on with oem button and still the Touch ID works andhome button doesn’t … I don’t care if the Touch ID works but I need home button to work .. what can I do ?

The Home Button “click not working” is caused by a damaged chip on the Home Button Flex. It is called U10 or Turtle IC. It is not encased in epoxy and because of that, it can be easily damaged when removing and installing the HB. This will require a micro-soldering repair or bringing it to Apple.
