I replaced the fan on my Macbook, it was noisy and computer was overheating. I followed the instructions of the iFixit guide. The keyboard stopped working and monitor would flash and go black. I replaced the keyboard but it made no difference. I’ve held the power key down to reset the PRAM, but it won’t beep (to signify the reset). Is the any other way to reset the PRAM? Any other suggestions as to how to fix, what I screwed up?

The display data cable runs just to the right of the right fan. It’s probably been pinched or slightly pulled out of its socket. The keyboard needs to be reseated and taped in place. Check the socket for any debris that might have gotten it it.

I actually managed to partly kill a MB logicboard by having dust in the topcase connector :( No more keyboard or trackpad. I’d try a pram reset with an external keyboard. Otherwise i agree with Mayer, check the LVDS cable seating.
