I spilled some iced tea (I don’t know how much liquid was spelt but not a lot) over my new MacBook Pro 13inch last week and I turned it upside down and dried it as much as possible but I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to turn it off for sometime, I had an important assignment that day and I got back to working on my laptop afterwards. its still working and no harm seems to be done but I wanna know if there will be any future damages so I can set money aside. Will it stop working in the near future? will I be able to repair it or should I just start saving for a new one? should I take it to the apple store? Thanks a lot and any answers will be appreciated!
Your best bet is finding an independent shop who specializes on Macs to open the system to inspect things if your not up to it. Sadly, Apples policy is a bit harsh if any of the moisture detectors have been set off so not only won’t they repair it you’ll also have a letter A emblazed on the system so in any future service need it might effect their actions.
