Hello:) I have a 13 MacBook Pro Retina, and I have recently damaged the top lid. The damage is minimal - the edge of the lid is now a bit curved inwards in one place. The screen wasn’t damaged at all, everything is perfect. Still, I want to replace the lid. But as I searched the net, I only found offers for full screen-and-lid replacement. It costs too much, and I would not like to do that. So the question: is it technically possible to replace the top lid on the macbook? I have read that on some models the display is not detachable from the metal lid, does that appeal to the mid2014 MacBook Pro Retina 13?

Yes, it does. The retina panel is glued to the lid and being just about 1mm thick, chances that it will break during removal are 99,9 % for the common person and very very high for an expert too. You can find refurbished lids on ebay from China for less than 300$, but I never purchased one and I cannot tell anything about the overall quality.
