Hi @mayer, I have this problem too, macbook pro Retina Late 2012 A1425. Have you fixed this error yet? Thanks. Update (06/22/2021) Hi @dan , @mayer , Macbook Pro Retina Late 2012 - A1425 “[06/22/21 08:46:46] Speaker: Speaker Valid Vendor ID Test (test #5) - Speaker Valid Vendor ID Test

You do need to be careful with ASD as you need to use the correct one for your system. For most folks (and even me) find the onboard diagnostics offers a good enough hint. Sadly, Apple broke it with the newer firmware and even fully disabled it on the 2012 systems which is likely why you had used ASD here. I would start off replacing the speaker for sure! That resolves your first error SMC services will pump the fans up when either a thermal or current/voltage sensor reports something is a miss. Here the Heatsink thermal sensor is reporting a problem. The missing screw is one of the heat sink screws but it shouldn’t be the cause of this error. After replacing the bad speaker I would run TG Pro as it will allow you to see which of the sensors was in trouble.
