Hello guys i left an iphone with new battery for while ( 1-2 months ) and now when i try to turn it on it didn’t work , the battery was unplugged for the whole time when i connected the voltmeter to the battery it shows me the battery has 0 volts so does the battery drain if you leave it unplugged ? help me explain this please , and how to avoid it thanks
A Li-Ion battery or any battery will always slowly discharge, whether it is plugged in or not. In the case of a Li-Ion battery (iPhone battery), it needs to be exercised. It needs to be frequently charged/discharged, otherwise its overall capacity diminishes more quickly.
