I have an Aspire Aspire ES-575 running Windows 10. I recently had a crash and in trying to get it back on its feet I ran the Insyde20 Setup Utility. I eventually got it back up using system restore. When I went to change the boot settings, I discovered the Bios was locked up, in that I could see all the settings across the top, but could not navigate to any of them. So, I thought that a Bios update would cure the problem. It did not! I have reset the bios in desktop computers by moving a jumper, but I find that a daunting task with a laptop. The Setup Utility has everything locked up and I don’t know how to remove it without destroying my bios. Anyone out there have any ideas? HELP?
Have you tried bypassing the bios password using a online bios password generator? https://bios-pw.org/ I’ve used it quite a bit and it does work on a lot of laptop models, the new ones not so much. When an incorrect password has been entered wrong too many times or password prompt is shown you may see a hash code or serial number popup as a message. That can be used to generate the bios password online.
