My internal monitor recently stopped working. The computer starts and runs fine, it is usable through an external HDMI monitor. The internal monitor lights up and display this weird screen almost like a projection tube television appearance. I replaced the LVDS cable with no improvement. Weird view there, would make me think of a board issue just because I’ve never seen a screen with such a failure before, maybe some experienced Techs in TV technology like @jayeff or @oldturkey03 can shed some light. However, as usual, unless you have a known good screen to try, I believe it’s quite difficult to tell for sure if it’s a board or a screen issue.
