Chosen Solution

Hi, Struggling with iPhone 6 Internet connection. Always have 4g around my area but device has recently decided it’s not enough, barely enough to connect on what’sapp! Phone has been dropped a couple of times in its 2 year life and does have a small chip to the top left of the screen, nothing that effects the screens use. Works perfect on wifi and no issues with calls or texts signal it’s purely Internet. Any help much appreciated

This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question. The iPhone 6 series of phones has a clear tendency to develop “searching” issues. The first thing to check is the condition of the antennas inside the phone. Over time and multiple drops, they may have become partially disconnected or damaged. While your problem is not the typical symptom, you may be having issues with the Baseband IC, which controls all of the radio communications on the device. Multiple drops over time tend to crack some tiny copper traces on the logic board, similar to what causes the Touch Disease issue. This would require a micro-soldering repair and is not DIY.
