The password has been entered to many times an needs to be reset due to iPad being disabled. Every time I put in recovery mode in iTunes, It jumps out of recovery 3-5 mins later and goes back to apple logo and then to the iPad disabled screen. It will not stay in recovery mode long enough to resort it to factory setting.. I have tried a number of times, and exits recovery mode every time. Is there anything I can do?

The first time I done it , it did start down loading the file but shortly after, it jumps out of recovery mode. I tried doing this on 2 different pcs, and a Mac book pro, and 2 different cables. All end up doing the same thing.

When the iPad is in recovery mode and you attempt to restore, does the restore file iTunes is downloading ever complete? Does it actually try to initialize the restore? Typically iTunes will take some time to download the necessary files to perform the restore and iOS devices will only stay in Recovery Mode for so long before they restart. So that’s not terribly unusual. Now if the download is completing and it won’t actually start to restore the iPad that’s another story. It could be that it’s not getting the start restore command from the computer. Which could be due to a number of reasons. Usual steps for troubleshooting this include swapping out the USB cables, or the port in use.

Putting the iPad into dfu mode will sort the problem. Dfu will not time out as restore mode does. On iPhones restore mode times out after 15 minutes. Dfu stays until the restore is complete.
