Chosen Solution
Recently our 8 month old iPad 6 stopped showing the lightning bolt icon and stopped charging. It still boots up and runs but doesn’t charge and is no down to 10% charge. I have inspected the lightning port and it is clean. I have tried different cables and different charging blocks with no change. I tried a hard reset with no change. This issue arose about the time iOS 13 was automatically downloaded and installed. Any suggestions?
An 8 months old iPad is covered by Applecare wordwide for another 4 months. If you don’t have an Apple authorized in your neighborhood contact Apple online or by phone and they’ll arrange a pickup by courier. That’s for free too, so I don’t see any point in looking for alternative solutions.
