I recently replaced my iPad mini screen and now the sleep/lock function no longer works,is this due to the quality of the screen? I checked in the settings and it is turned on and I have tried a couple of different cases. Many thanks
Sorry to hear you are having a problem with your ipad Tom. First I would go back and make sure there is no damage to flex cable with the audio jack. A slight scratch or cut could render the part broken. If you see no damage to the part, I would try replacing the audio flex cable…. Hope that helps you..
The iPad Mini replacement glass digitizer needs to have the resistor chips on the home flex cable to work with smart cases. Almost all of the iPad mini replacement parts DO NOT come with these chips. I have sourced a few that do. I have fixed a lot of iPad mini digitizers with varying quality and the one’s that DO work come from iexpertstudios.
The magnets were not put into the new screen
