“iphon 5c still dead! Replaced the screen assembly and battery. What next, should have bought a new phone!!”

Did the previous (original) battery just gradually weaken before eventually dying or did the phone stop working suddenly? A sudden death points to a logic board (charge circuit) issue. A gradual decline points more to a defective replacement battery. The most obvious thing to double check is the battery. There are many poor quality replacement batteries on the market and depending on where you bought it, it may be defective. Take the battery out and measure it with a multimeter/voltmeter. It should read somewhere between 3.8V and 4.2V. Anything less than that and it is, at least, discharged and at worst defective. If you have access to another iPhone 5C, try to install it on that phone to see if it works or charges. If the battery seems sufficiently charged, then your problem probably lies on the logic board. Cheap, copy Lightning cables and chargers can damage the charging circuit. Try connecting your phone to an iTunes enabled computer to see if iTunes recognizes your phone.
