I got this phone for $2 on eBay and the reason it is dead is due to the U2 Chip failing. I have gotten the phone to boot and charge but will it function stable as long as it never dies? Is it still cost effective to have the repair done?
That just depends on where you are and what your local microsoldering market charges. It should be one the cheapest since it’s probably a straightforward repair. It might be worth investigating a bit.
