Hello while i was repairing my phone, the lcd shield with the homebutton cable ripped on me, do you think that because of the homebutton not working it could cause a bootloop ?
Leave the homebutton cable unplugged from the logic board and try starting your iPhone and you’ll have your aswer :) The iPhone should be working normally even without home button.
sometime when you don’t connect battery properly, it can be on boot loop. Connect the battery and disconnect the charger and try it to turn on if it’s on bootloop than there is issue with the board. if it wouldn’t show anything than plug the charger if it’s only on bootloop while just connect the charger and the battery it means either your battery is not connected properly or it’s damaged. because if you connect just the charger without battery it shows bootloop and the phone try to turn on but because battery is not giving it’s A that’s why it’s not turning on.
Hey Angel, If you’re sure the cable ripped, that’s almost definitely why the phone is in a boot loop. Just like a computer: if it’s missing a critical component, like RAM, you’ll get an error code or a beed code and it will fail to boot up. Especially considering the home button, with the fingerprint scanner, is so critical to the security of your phone. Since you’re probably not an experienced technician, I wouldn’t advise that you attempt to repair the phone any further. Take it to a TRUSTED local repair shop or find a repair shop here on iFixit. Be transparent with the technician and let them know what happened. From there, they should be able to remedy the situation and get your iPhone 6 back in business. Otherwise, you’ll have to take it to your local Apple Store or send it in for repair. Hope this helps! -Alex
