Hi fixers, Recently i replaced one of my customers iPhone 6s screen. Since homebuttonflex was also broken, i replaced the homebutton as well. Straight after the repair, the phone did an update. Ever since, battery issues occurred. It drains 1% every ~ 80 seconds. You can literally see it decreasing … Regarding the timing of the update, it’s hard to tell whether it’s a hardware cause or a software issue. What i’ve done :
- Replaced the battery
- Restored it to factory settings
- Basically turned everything off such as BT / WiFi / 3D touch / …
- Installed an older iCloud backup None of them worked so far. Any possible solutions? Kind regards, Seppe
You need to isolate the Home Button Flex replacement from the Screen replacement. Start by connecting just the digitizer and LCD and see if that solves your battery discharge problem. If it works, then add the front camera and sensor flex and eventually the home button. If the battery still drains with just the screen (LCD & Digi), then you may have a defective replacement screen. Some of the lower cost ones can have a high current drain backlight.
