Hello friends, I’ve tried to buy a cheap iphone 6s for my little sister since she wanted one dearly. So I’ve opted for a broken one and tried to repair it. Long story short, I’ve bought 2. Nr. 1 was cosmetically great but dead Nr. 2 was in a rough shape but worked. I’ve swapped the working Logicboard in the good looking phone. Then installed a new battery and screen. The phone worked well for like 2 days. Then it just went dark and doesn’t show any sign of life. I switched in an original battery - nothing. iTunes - nothing. Dfu - nothing. No method is working at all. It was charged with an original 5w apple charger and a cheap no name cable. Any ideas what has happened or how to resolve my problem would be gladly appreciate. Thanks for you time.

Don’t use aftermarket chargers unless they are MFI CERTIFIED. A lot of the aftermarket chargers don’t have the correct chip on the cable that can regulate the charge and it damage tristar ic. The tristar ic is in charge of the connection to the motherboard and the battery. It gives data in and out and decides if the battery will receive a charge. If the tristar ic chip is damaged it won’t take a charge and it won’t connect with you computer and iTunes. A phone repair place should have a tristar tester. You will need a charged battery to test it. You could hook up your junk phone and hook up the battery and see if it will charge and put in the charged battery and see if it will work.

You’re a nice sibling to buy and fix up an old device for your sister I bet she looks up to you! Anyways where did you buy said devices and were they original apple parts in each device or were they aftermarket? Did you have any leftover parts?
